mmm well yeah, maybe it might vary from store to store because the cashier charged me for it. and then 2 days later, when I went to go return the card, I asked one of the workers.

On mine the cashier reduced the price of the video card by $10 and added the gift card. So just pay attention to the reciept and if you pay full price for the video card and an additional $10 for the gift card then yes, you have been overcharged.

I just bought the card Sat. 6/29. Got the rebate slip. Went back today to PM it.
As the guy was doing his thing on the register, I saw he was getting a GC, but when I went to sign the form, no GC.
I asked him and he said he anticipated it to come up on the screen, but said it never did.
After getting a manager over to help him, they had to credit the entire thing and rering it in.
He got it right, though, rang in at $169 plus $10 GC.
They were cool about it, it was more of them trying to figure out how to ring it in.

All in all, $179 + $10 GC and $20 rebate. $149

Weird, I got this card at a Wal Mart SuperCenter like two weeks ago for $199.99.

yeah, I wish they charged me like that...but I guess not. That's why I returned it.
