Ok guys i have a MSI K7T Pro2 Mobo (KT133a) and it supposively supports up to an XP2200+ becuz it supports 133mhz fsb
So i went ahead and bought a XP2100+ and updated my bios for the new CPU support and installed the cpu and set the core voltage to 1.75 and everything but i cannot get the fsb past 120 which gives me a XP1800+ at 1.57Ghz
Any time i set the fsb to higher than 120 the comp refuses to boot up (turns on but nothing happens - and if i check the Diagnostic LED it says its stuck on Processor Initiation)
Also it the bios i cannot set the fsb past 132 so i could not reach 133 anyway
I kno what i did was prolly stupid and i should upgrade the mobo but i really dont have the money right now
So does any1 have any advice for me on how to get the proper speeds?
Thanks, Rob
P.S. The CPU temp is fine @ 38C idle and 43C under load (but it is underclocked but heat isnt an issue)
