A friend called and asked if I would help get her network running right, she has 4 machines - one W98SE, one WinME, one W2K and a new one that has Win XP.
The other boxes share with each other just fine, but her XP box doesn't want to play.
She has ICS running on the W2K and all machines (including the WinXP) can get online, web surf & email.
The trouble is that she can't share files & dirs between the Win XP & the Win 2K boxes at all.
What's the procedure to get these two sharing?
She has them set up as a workgroup, not a domain.
They are both members of the same workgroup.
She has tried it both with a static IP like 192.168.0.3 and with DHCP. In both cases she gets internet access but no file sharing between the two.
