xp-90 + panflo fan vs. arctic freezer 64?

Man, I wish I could get two of those XP-90s to fit on my Xeons. I had to settle with Swiftech MCX603-V's...
Tas.

The XP90 is better, but the Freezer is also a great cooler because it's cheaper and quieter, with a better airflow option (blows hot air to back of case to be exhausted instead of around the case).

There is no Thermalright fan that comes with the XP-90 as far as I can recall.

there is a retail kit that comes with a fan. i've never seen it for sale anywhere, but it does exist.

Swiftechs rock though. They not only are much more compliant with specs, they are unique in their HSF designs. 🙂

Off topic:

I have a new retail XP-90 w/fan and thermal paste for sale if you are interested. Purchased at jab-tech but it doesn't fit my MSI K8N NEO4 motherboard. PM me to discuss. Thank you.

Aristo- Did you try it both ways, meaning did you flip the hsf 180 degrees? An XP-120 worked perfectly on my Neo4.

Why are you looking into the xp-90 instead of something quieter like a zalman 7000b? Just wondering, because I am trying to decide what to do myself.

I think that the XP-90 might be a little better as far as the heat transfer goes, but i'm not sure about the noise factor.

Also, the XP-90 could be as quiet or quieter than the zalman, it just depends on what type of fan you use on it!
