<< who say XBOX will lead in console game?

PS2 Rules !!

Go back to the IGN boards please.

Which one will fail?

PS2? Gamecube? XBox?

History shows that the market can only bear two competing console systems at a time. Any other systems fail commercially.

SNES vs. Genesis led to the failure of the TurboGrafx 16 aka the PC Engine, and the SNK Neo Geo.

PSX vs. N64 led to the failure of Sega Saturn, the Amiga CD32, the 3DO, and the Atari Jaguar.

Which system will fail this time?

I don't think any will fail.

I would just like to point out that there is no BSoD (Blue screen of death) in the XBOX.

It is a GSoD (Green screen of death) 😉 (really)

<< Only part that matters in comparing systems.

Analysts say that's in line with the industry standard, and competitor Nintendo reported a comparable rate for its new GameCube.

Its just Microsoft Basher's jumping at a story

And if I remember correctly both the new systems are having lower failure rates than PS2 had😛. I want one NOW though...DOA3!!!

FreAk😀

With the video game market growing at such a fast pace, I would imagine at some point, there will be enough room in the market for 3 different consoles. There's a good chance that time is now. All 3 consoles have been pretty damned sucessful so far, and all three are pretty promising (with PS2 delivering the most on its promise already since its had a 1 year jumpstart on the other two).

check how big the industries were back then. last i checked games are now 9 billion dollars🙂 more then even movies.

100% of copies of Windows 3.1/95/98/ME break down daily. I don't think Microsoft is too worried about a 1% failure rate on the X-Box. They'll just release X-Box 2002 later this year (or more likely in 2004) that will supposedly fix all the problems. After upgrading you'll find they still break down pretty often, but don't worry, X-Box 2006 will get it right. Make sure to pre-order yours today.

1.5 million shipped, and only a couple hundred have problems? I'd say they're doing well.
Plus, mine works fine ... That's all I really care about.

Or maybe it's just you. Windows rarely crashes on me, I guess you just suck.
