I don't see much of a problem here. The developers probably use a VM to test the Xbox One in a spec controlled environment. I'm sure they use Window 7/8 to debug. The questions become were they boosting the graphical setting using high end PC gear and is what they are showing not representative of the actual console? That would be unfortunate.

Spin and deflect?
You seem to be the one trying to spin anything.
I didn't even mention anything about the use of an i7 or NV hardware, just the general ridiculousness of your post overall, and use of an utterly absurd analogy.

When someone calls you out on making a terrible post, the correct response isn't to say "spin and deflect". I didn't spin or deflect, I said your post was dumb, because it was.

Should have used an AMD GPU in there, Microsoft, avoid the crashing. Not sure what is up with that box though, I doubt they are using windowed cases for Dev units.

MS completely FUBAR'ed E3. I can't remember a time when a company did worse. Even Nintendo did better than this and they had hardly anything to show and I don't even think they had a full booth.

Hillarious. Prerendered videos, running on PCs with settings consoles can never match etc. Classic.

This has been the status quo however for MS/Sony when new consoles launch though. Even near the end of the generation they never do reach there prerendered targets.

Yeah. Consoles that don't exist yet running games that aren't finished yet.

Seriously people, are we THIS dumb now?
They want to show things in best light, not show slow buggy crap that isn't going to be like the final product.
The hardware and software aren't ready yet. What do you want them to do?

What do you want them to do?

Run it on hardware that is close in architecture to their console build? Run it with the same vendor's chips? Run it on dev kits? Run it on an OS more related to the code and build of the console? OMG DEW Wii ASK FOR 2 MUCH?

Hey dude, if Bob Lutz was caught on a road trip driving a Mercedes instead of a Cadillac or a Chevy, wouldn't there be some irony in that as well? Can you not just relax and laugh and not make everything a massive slight against whatever it is you are trying to extrapolate or perceive from the point of this thread being started?

Run it on architecturally correct real dev kits like Sony did?

I think it's been well established that Sony has embarrassed Microsoft in the planning and development stages in regards to PS4 vs Xbox One.

Oh, and Microsoft embarrassed itself with it's launch announcement and related PR. No outside help needed on that one.

About as much sense as your price figures.

Xbox One already lost, a year late with a OoO atom and $100 maxwell would beat the PS4 in every metric.

They'd miss this holiday season, heck a box like that would probably not be launch ready until Summer 2014 at the earliest.

They could have put a 7950 in there if they wanted to, Sony is sourcing from the exact same AMD.
