4k is all the hype, i really don't know why. We'll be lucky to have 4k gaming on the next consoles.
They struggle to do 1080p on most of the games now.

For movies I get it but what % of the population owns a 4k tv already? I know i don't and i won't be buying one for at least 5 years
 
worrying about 4k right now is kinda pointless anyways.

they can hardly even get games running at 1080p @ 60fps right now and people are concerned with 4k compatibility?

if you are talking about movies, then i guess, yeah okay. but even that is a VERY small subset of an already small videophile community.

Yes, when we see 4k video becoming as prevalent as 1080p (not this year I don't think) then perhaps it would be something worth looking into.
