Should i pay 90 bucks for someone to mod it for me which includes the mod chip and several applications already installed.
Or
Should i just do it myself?

I have an extra Xbox and I've been considering modding it... But I can't really figure out what it would be good for, other than pirating games.

Does that $90 include the chip? If not, then that is a bit steep. If so, then that might not be too bad if you aren't comfortable opening it up and doing it yourself. You can get solderless adapters for most the chips these days so the install is really pretty easy. The only soldering you may need to do is if you want to have LAN and LED activity LEDS.

I guess streaming mp3's from my PC is somewhat interesting, but certainly not worth the cost/hassle.Originally posted by: BillGates

$90 is fairly high, did you check craiglists or xbox-scene?
So... Aside from pirated movies and such, what's there to download that I might want to watch on my RPTV?Originally posted by: rh71

I don't know why you're asking... anything that you would watch on your PC. I love it for missed tv eps... if you don't watch any vids on your PC, then you wouldn't NEED it. I got tired of watching stuff on my laptop when I was out in the living room. 15" screen vs. 57". :thumbsup:Originally posted by: Wingznut

I guess that's why I'm asking... I don't watch anything on my PC other than little video clips (i.e. trailers.) I have DirecTiVo, so I never miss TV shows.Originally posted by: rh71
