I just checked out the XBOX companion app on WP7.5 and it's alright. Seems more like a tech demo than something I'd ever use. It might've been nice to search for content but now that they've built in voice search with the Kinect into the dash, that's all I'll need.
 
Every new update buries netflix deeper in the navigation. I only use my xbox for gaming and netflix, so this annoys me. Also the video quality on netflix has gone to shit after this update.

I think you can also say "Xbox, Apps, Netflix." For me, the Netflix app only is on Apps and not under Videos (strangely).

Yeah, but the cool thing with the "Bing" command is that you can drill down to wherever the app is by just using that command. You don't need to know what subcategory the app is listed under. But yeah, you can also say, "Xbox, Apps, Netflix."
 
With the new layout, Im really thinking a Kinect is a must have. Its a pain in the ass to navigate with the controller, Im thinking just swiping my hand in mid air would be easier.

I have a Kinect and preferred the old interface. I want to use the controller but I keep ending up ending drilled into the bottom panes. Kind of annoying.

You don't have to do anything to move it. Get both systems updated and get signed in on the new version, then boot one without the stick and go to the profiles area and choose to download your profile.

It isn't that much different than the previous version, categories now go left/right instead of up/down.

You know you can use the left and right bumpers to jump between categories, right?

No I did not know that, and thank you. I kept scrolling through every damn thing with my thumb controls.
 
I had something weird happen. I have sound on everything on my Xbox, except Hulu. My Hulu on the PS3 works just fine, but when I go into it on the 360 the sound just cuts out completely.
