Mrsskoorb already said no about this, but after watching that video the hype is taking control of me. Liquid cooled CPU is just too sweet. I may have to butter her up, even though I have zero time for video games these days. Just to own one...

I've decided to go ahead and put money from the bucket of money I put aside every paycheck for personal use toward this. Went ahead and pre-ordered two from EB Games today.

where you preordering them from? I can't see it on the site

You have to go into the stores. I went to a third EB Games today and pre-ordered another. They've bumped the pre-order requirement up to $50.

Since MS is requiring all developers to support 720p, component should be a given. No word on anything else though.

I imagine that they'll handle the video ouputs the exact same way they do the current Xbox. That way they can support multiple video outs and not take up a ton of space on the back.

edit: Just go to Xbox360.com and you can rotate the picture of the console to see the back. Pretty much confirms it will use a breakout box.

Final Fantasy XI Coming to Xbox

Forbes has just announced that Final Fantasy XI is coming to Xbox.

Securing Final Fantasy XI for the Xbox will be seen as a key victory for Microsoft's campaign to overtake rival Sony as the king of the hill in the video game console business. If nothing else, it should make the Xbox more attractive to potential buyers. That's because people buy the hardware based on the available games.

The Forbes article also confirms that some of the top-selling current Xbox games will work on the Xbox 360.

Will this thing be able to stream to any XP PC, or just the Media Center PC's? Initially it sounded like any XP machine, but then I read at X-S about software being released for Media Center and it sounds like the xbox360 would only be able to stream with a Media Center PC. If it can only stream with a Media Center PC, then I'm out.

The 360 is supposed to act as an extender to Windows Media Center 2005 allowing regular and HD video, music, pictures, etc to be streamed through it.

I'm not sure about regular XP loaded machines though. Seems like they would try to come up with something similar to XBMCE for those that already have a XP machine with videos and music and don't want to plunk down the money for Windows MCE.

What happened to Blue-ray or HDDVD support? I might have gotten it if it was included, but it looks like I'll be waiting for PS3. I bet I'm not alone.

That's absurd. Who gives a $hit if there's no Blu-ray or HDDVD?

Not absurd. I make another person and I give a sh!t...

i dont

i do...it's silly to leave that technology out of a box that is focused on HD

Off topic here but does anyone know the name of the song that's playing around 4:10 in the MTV video?
