To much. The game play of perfect dark was choppy. You could barely tell with al lteh cuts they did.

You never know what hardware they were REALLY using inside that pre-production model. Hell, rumor has it that ATI's R5XX cores aren't ready, so it could have been running on a modified R420 core for all we know. Hence, maybe why so little was shown.

I really wouldn't base a decision off this MTV crap-omercial. You'll be able to make a better judgement after E3.

You guys complain that they didn't show anything, then you say you'd rather have a PS3. Good judgement there.

Anyhow, definitely a waste of 30 minutes, but I'm glad to have gotten some glimpses of that basketball game, what looked to be some next-gen Mechassault, and fvcking PGR3 baby! Perfect Dark wasn't entirely impressive, but I'm sure we're still more than a year away from that. I'd be surprised if it came out by Holiday season of 2006.

Thats what I thought too..it looked awfully choppy, and I figured thats why they didnt want to show it much.

Could be due to the framerate of the recorded footage?

Possible, but looked like the fast cut scenes were intentional to hide the issue of shoppiness. It's way pre-release to, so it's not something that's impossbile, but soemthing that will probably be ironed out by release time.

The Mechassault looking game was actually QuakeIV. Perfect Dark Zero is supposed to be a release game.

Ah, just saw some mechs, that's all :). I just read this article over at IGN that does say Perfect Dark Zero to be a launch game. I still stand by my statement that I'll be surprised if we see it before holiday 2006. It is Rare afterall.

I know it has all this HD support, but I wonder how it will look on a "regular" TV.

Well, I think this is part of the reason we haven't seen many games out of Rare since MS purchased them. They've been working on Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, and Conker:Live and Uncut. Kameo got bumped to an Xbox360 release and PD:Zero looks like it was always targeted to be a Xbox2/360 release.

When hooked to a regular TV, the Xbox360 boots with the message "Buy a Samsung HDTV biatch!"

Uploading the capture now to here. user is atotftp and password is luvly

Give it about a half hour for the upload to finish, I have to run to the store but I'll let it continue. Beware that the quality is very crappy. Very very crappy.

When the size reaches 32MB you'll know it's done.

This is getting hammered right now. Audio is fine but the video is slideshowing. Still better information than the MTV crap-omercial.

Water-cooled cpus is awesome. I can't believe they are going to be selling this at $300.

Good point..but it wasnt just cause of the MTV thing. If it has backwards compatability..Id be much more inclined to get it.

Seriously, if you haven't seen the final 5 min video from OURCOLONY, you're missing out. Graphics this go around may not be the "huge" jump we're accostumed to. To address this, I think MS is really focusing on XBOX Live and wrapping everything up into a really personable experience. I think the next-gen of consoles will be an expansion into an online community. It's actually pretty amazing what they are working on. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has friends across the countryand will finally be able to play and interact with them just like there in the same room.
