Xbox 360 Countdown??

On a scale of between 1 to 10, i would rate my excitation level about the xbox360 being at about 3.

There is no game, beside Elder Scroll( but anyway i will probably end up playing it on my pc), that will make me consider buying a xbox360

Dead or Alive 4= Doa 3 on xbox with little graphic improvement.
Pefect Dark Zero( after the great showing of this game on Spike TV...yeah right......im not touching that piece of crap)
Gotham 3?:I will probably end up doing the same thing as PGR1(metropolis streeet racer) and PGR2😛lay with it for 2 hours and change game.
Kameo:Yeah...sure.FOr a simple platformer, i will go spend $600 US on a xbox...


Nope.Im not selling my XBOX to get an xbox360 this holiday....waiting for PS3 instead.

 
I can wait until its dirt cheap before buying it. I wasnt impressed by xbrick 1. The only reason I bought one was to mod it for my old roms

The Origen site is over a week old, it has changed at least once already. It probably counts down to announcing exact launch day and launch titles (probably gonna be Nov. 15)

Do you have any idea how shi!ty launch games usually are? PS2 launch titles were worse than garbage. Xbox only had Halo. The 360 has a much nicer launch lineup - you only mentioned a handful of them. Don't give the "well so and so game will be available on PC" cause this is cheaper than upgrading an aging PC to play them at the same quality, plus for people like me I can easily enjoy them on my 90" projection screen with my full home theater setup - using a PC for gaming in a home theater environment is a royal pain in the ass.

 
I'll stay with nintendo, they are the only gaming company that doesnt hype the hell out their stuff only to have it be a complete disappointment. Nintendo makes a quality product and doesnt rely on gimmicks

Gimmicks like high defintion support? They've already stated their 2006 console is still going to play in standard definition - they don't think HD is necessary. I dunno why Nintendo just doesn't fully concentrate on handheld gaming....they better do so before PSP picks up anymore.

PSP sales are pitiful, and those who bought it did so because they could mod it and play....whats that? Old nintendo roms?

HD support is pretty much a waste of time. Im sure the 12 "Im better than you" elitists that insist on it will be disappointed, but the rest of us could care less. We could care less becase they make games that are FUN to play and dont have to rely on gimmicks like

Drugs
Gangs
Cursing
Extreme violence
Polygon boobs
Latest rapper has his name on it

etc etc tec

They make great games like mario kart (dont care if it is a "G" title and safe for kids, its FUN) and the metroid series, and dont forget about zelda.

Oh yeah, and they are the only ones actually consistantly posting a PROFIT
 
I'm not that excited to get one this year. I may look at it or the PS3 holiday season 2006. The only system I plan to buy on release is the Revolution.

I did get a XBox at launch and hated the purchase for about a year, then the games started coming in better. Also the first XBoxs were bad. Mine has held up decent, but I'm starting to get the lockups from the drive, and the power supply is now loose and needs resoldering. Hopefully there want be any problems with the 360s and if there is they get them worked out before I get one.

Not to mention the fact that I personally have bought over 40 GC games, 2 mem cards, 2 wavebirds (wireless controller) a GBA/GBSP/DS, 8 DS titles, DS carrying case, nearly 20 GBA titles, a subscription to NP mag, GB player, DK bongos and much more.

Its people like me that keep companies going, not people who buy the console and 4 games. I love the GC so much, I gave one with mario kart to all the kids on my list for christmas last year, which was something like 11

Without all the HD support and Blu-Ray stuff the Revolution will probably also be a lot cheaper than the 360 and the PS3. Which is good. HD will eventually take over the market, but its going to take a lot longer than a few years. Nintendo not supporting HD for their next console is not a big deal in my opinion. I doubt even 10% of the people buying the system would use the HD support. The system after the Revolution will have to support HD, but not the Revolution.

Glad to see that at least one other person has the sense to see past the 15 year old crowd who think they are "too grown up" to sit down and play a game that doesnt revolve around beating hookers and selling drugs.
 
Ummm.....you guys act like all gamecube has is those games(although they are good)....

Eternal Darkness and Resident Evil 4, two games WELL deserving of their M rating, are two of my favorite games of all time, for any system.

Regardless, XBox360 looks like sh!t, no games are enticing me at all, I'll be getting either PS3 or Revolotion, or both.
