Yes, it does surprisingly well in COD2 which is my favorite online game right now.

Interesting and very thorough review but I'm still gonna stick with a single card solution for another generation or two.

Anyone notice the "white out" of the water in the HL2 comparisons? ATI's looks all whited out, but nVidia's looks like actual water. Am I seeing things? Someone check behind me on this.

14axx by ATI is not true AA
what does that have to do with white water?

perhaps there is some kind of bug in 14axx sampling that caused the water to look that way?
the white water is present in all the ati screenshots. not just the 14 aa.

this is why xbit labs is my favourite site atm... anyway the superAA numbers are amazing of c.. dont know how you can still complain.. sure its not as good but 250% faster? er... no brainer... also.. ati has HQ AF and nvidia doesnt.. i dont see anyone talking about it.. i think its pretty balanced atm, xfire has pluses, sli has pluses... choose whichever you prefer

Hey guys did anyone else notice that the picture of the two X1800 cards are actually X1900!!

They have 7 chips(mosfets?) instead of 6 like the X1800s normally do!

Could that be something to do with it being a Xfire master card?

No idea honestly, just a stab in the wild.

One, maybe, but Crossfire only uses ONE mastercard. Both their cards have 7 mosfets and 14 resistors. Maybe they mixed up their pictures? This is why ATI shouldn't make their cards all nearly identical...

Got their photos mixed up? Or the title was supposed to read "X1900's in Crossfire". I'm sure they are working on the X1900 review at the same time so they probably have 4-5 of the same looking radeon cards floating around right now!

Why is it so strangely silent in here now? Can anyone explain this please?

In your head? Have the voices stopped talking? J/K keys.

It does seem that things have died down quite a bit on Anadtech, at least in the video and cpu section. I'd think with launch day of R580 being tomorrow that we'd have a lot more talk going on.

LOL, ATi should change their production line because a review ****** mixes up cards. there are stickers on the back side identifying the cards you know...

I didn't mean they should change it specifically because of this one reviewer. Even though I dislike ATI much, I would LIKE to see something different. A different image on the heatsink? a different color? No? Not a single thing different. I get bored just looking at the review pictures where the two new cards are nearly identical.

well, maybe their partners could change their designs as well. AFAIK, Gigabyte changes the design a little bit, everyone else pretty much sticks to reference

That's not the point. I'm just saying ATI could have been a little more creative with something on the new high-end card. And I've also read way too many X1800XT reviews......
