Where is it in State/local gov? I don't find it. :/
Perhaps NC doesn't have the item. I choose California and can find it.
Eh, I guess it is State based. THat sucks.

Has anyone received the Dell Order Confirmation with order number? I only received the Dell Order Acknowledgement and I ordered mine yesterday.

Dell rep told me accessories don't apply to the EPP discount (employee purchase program) and that only applied to systems. Bah, taxes bump this price too high for me. I guess I have to wait for gateway to come through.

Don't hold your breath.

I want to purchase a 6800 GT or X800 XT PE so badly but I just have such a hard time forking over $400-$500 for a card that I know will be selling for less than $300 in a few months. I already have a buyer lined up for my 9700 Pro but I'm running Doom 3 very smoothly right now at 1280x1024 so the only benefit of one of these supercards is that I could play at 1600x1200 where my 2001FP shines.

I guess the main thing keeping me from buying one is that there is no clear winner in this war yet. At first, the 6800 GT seemed to be smacking ATI around in the benchmarks (not just Doom 3) but some owners of the X800 XT PE's are saying they are much more powerful than even a 6800 Ultra Extreme. WTF.

I guess I just need to wait for some more mature driver releases and see if either of the cards stays consistently on top.

Thing is if the top of the line cards continue to be in short supply, prices wont' drop very quickly either. 9800 Pro's are still 200+ in price for a card that's been released quite long ago. Its because the new gen cards aren't in supply.

Hmmm it's down to 416.66 cents!

I always thought there was some sort of .66 code that kmart had I wonder if that means you will never get it?

Oh well... Nice deal for free shipping and no tax in oregon.

I bit on this. For some reason I was unable to check shipping charges and don't even know if I'll be taxed because both were "not available" on my order. If it turns out I get charged tax it will come to around $450 and that's not such a great deal. In that case I'll just cancel.

I ordered this card about 2 or 3 weeks ago. It said it would ship within 5-7 days. However, I received an email from them just this past week stating it was pushed back to mid-September (Sept. 19, if I remember correctly). I'll look for the email after some sleep and post it here.

gave it a shot. Ironically enough, I do qualify for this as I work at a hospital. Nevertheless I bought it for personal use so I put my name down instead of my company's.

BTW, how did you find this? Obscure find indeed.

Anyway, thanks a bunch! I purchase 11 of them on my credit card! Came out to $4,583.26 plus 8% tax. Cha Ching!

I'm thinking of giving them away for christmas gifts... Maybe for somebody's birthday. Anyone have a birthday coming up? hehe.

I agree about Doom 3... it gets really old, really fast.

Right when I read dell I stopped myself, I had a very "nice" experience with last time around, ordered a x800 pro for 368(great price then) on jun 2nd, est jun 11th, then it gets back ordered no date so call them up and cancel some stupid "asian" guy probably from india, could tell by his funny made up accent told me it is cancelled and it will be off the system in 48 hrs, after 2 weeks status still shows back ordered call them again, speak to another indian guy who tells me order no does not show up in system so its probably cancelled, guess dell works on orders by tossing coins. Anyway, on august 4th get a mail from dell saying item has shipped, I call them up and a girl now tells me I probably CANCELLED AFTER THEY SHIPPED, and to refuse the shipment which I did and today I finally get the money credited back to my dell prem a/c. Dell = Gateway in most cases, its just a case of which is better of the 2 bads

I also work at a hospital, and if I thought there was a remote chance of receiving this card in the next 2 weeks I'd order right now. Unfortunately a lot of these "Hot Deals" seem like they should be renamed to "Big Hassle" and I'm afraid of going through the all-too-common scenario of delayed shipment, cancelled order, etc.

$400 is too much for the 6800GT. Come down to $300 already dammit. I am definitely not spending over $300 on a card.

Any updates on this deal? All I've received is an acknowlegement from Dell. I want to know if they're going to add tax. If so I'm going to cancel. It's already expensive at $417 and adding another $30 or so kinda breaks it for me.

$417 + $30 for X800XT PE is too expensive? The suggested retail price for the item is $499.99 and none of the retail store even carries it! If you try Ebay, this card sales for $650+.
