X2900XT 3DMark06 Score 16K!!!

Well yeah if you want to go with LN2 or dry ice cooling and have a 4+Ghz Quad Core laying around then I guess WOOT!! The temp monitor at 200 degrees is buggured which usually means sub-zero cooling giving false temp readings. Nice score nonetheless.

All I'm gonna say is, 3dmark scores mean jack in relation to real gaming performance that I am experiencing.

You know, its not like everyone is as stupid as you make them out to be. You form other people's arguments for them in order to come out on top. You're foolish to think no one notices your uncleverness. When did I say that I want to play 3dmark06?

Well according to other reviewers...

HD 2900XT should be faster than 8800GTX in DX10 gaming and I still don't why AT never compared 2900XT against a stock 8800GTX.

but its not, therefore the x2900xt wins if the image isn't fake

Where were those anti 7800GTX 512MB that ATI had about predicting the death of the card within a year, due to high temp and voltages? Let me know how long an 80nm GPU will be able to run at 1000MHz please.

I guess those people that were doom and gloom about ATI being able to compete might be in for a suprise. Its defiantly good that ATI looks like it can remain competitive b/c itd suck having to shell out stupid amounts of money for vid cards.

Apparently the true power of this card lies in its OC ability, kinda like Core2 Duo... at stock it doesnt look that promising, but people @ XS are saying 1 ghz is a MODEST overclock... I assume the card can probably get close to 900 mhz on air.. very impressive

so thats the ticket....a person who wants the best video card has to overclock the #@$ out of it and void the warranty.

Grats ATI

first of all, look at the FPS it gets vs this 16k flat run, fake screenshot

Definitely NOT a fake screenshot, as the 2900XT was run with a C2Q, boosting the CPU and overall 3dmark score up significantly.

so that means: xt oced to 1ghz, still slower than gtx

No. It means XT Oc'd to 1Ghz is slower than a GTX Oc'd to whatever speed it is in that 16000 point 3dmark run.
