hi everyone,
i received my x2 4800 the other day. i've already formatted twice, installed the amd driver and optimizer. loaded the most recent chipset drivers and video drivers. i did overclock it to 270 x 10 = 2700 and also 225 x 12 = 2700 and using various combinations. after crashing and rebooting, i dropped it down to default speeds and voltage. during intense multitasking, the pc locks up or reboots. i was playing battlefield and i did an alt+tab to run quicktime and other apps just to see how it would go but no luck. i am really disappointed with this processor so far.
ran super pi at default and overclocked speeds with no errors. also ran memtest at overclocked and defaults with no errors. checked PSU with a multimeter and voltages seem to be normal.
anyone have ideas?
