(WCCO) Minneapolis World Wrestling Entertainment wrestler Eddie Guerrero was found dead in his hotel room in Minneapolis, the organization said Sunday.

Guerrero, 38, was found at the Marriott City Center in downtown Minneapolis. He was in town for Sunday night's "WWE Supershow" TV taping at Target Center.

Police confirmed Guerrero's death, but are not yet releasing additional information. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner was at the hotel.

Guerrero was a featured star on the UPN series "WWE Smackdown!" and the subject of a full-length DVD titled "Cheating Death, Stealing Life."

Son of legendary Mexican wrestler Gory Guerrero, Eddie Guerrero has also wrestled with World Championship Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling, among other federations. His nephew, Chavo Guerrero, Jr., also wrestles with WWE.

Edited title.

I don't know who he was, but RIP Eddie G.

Wow. He escaped death years ago in a car crash. I wonder if drugs/alcohol was involved. A shame though. 🙁

WOW. A lot of wrestlers have died recently, but none at the top of their game like Eddie. RIP.

(no way it wasn't drug or steroid related though)

it may very well been from drugs or steroids. he has been addicted to drugs on one occasion.

Watch an episode of Smackdown and take a look at the audience in the arena.

actually i know a few people that watch it that are what you would say are high class people.

A ex-business partner of mine watched it every week. he would also go to every PPV. This guy is worth a few Million. Heck i watch it but then agian i live in the country on farms heh.

Money doesn't give you class, and white trash with a few million are a dime a dozen.

So wrestling fans don't have class? I'm a wrestling fan and don't consider myself classless?

What defines class? Are classy people those who play tennis and golf at the country club then eat caviar afterwards? I have nothing against them, but how is that classier?
