Given that WWDC was basically ALL iphone, should we lock this thread up and keep it all in the iPhone thread?

Maybe merge then lock?

Well this thread is quite a bit older, so the merge may screw up the post order a bit...

I still want a 13" LED laptop with Firewire. At this point I don't care if it's just a MacBook. I need a portable video machine Jobsie! 😀

My predictions:

3G iphone - 2 colors, 2 prices $199/$299 (after rebates from at&t). GPS and iChat included.
New ipods/touches - higher capacity, touches updated to new 3g iphone software/firmware
New macbooks with LED screens and multitouch
.Mac Refreshed = Mobile Me
OS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard" released to the masses 😉

Well, I was pretty close. I was shocked that they did not introduce anything new aside from the iphone. This is a clear indication that apple went straight for the enterprise and new customers. I'm guessing once they get a higher grip on market share they'll come out with something that will wow us.

Basically we waited a year and all they did was include 3g, gps and support for the enterprise customers. Its not to say that this was not a good move because if I was on the border of getting one this would have pushed me over - however I dont really see any need to upgrade my iphone. I dont feel like paying $10 more a month for the 3g data as there is no 3g network where I live and I have wifi at home. The google triangulate map search works well enough for me that GPS is not really needed.

However, I read that Tom Tom has software that can run the iphone's GPS.....assuming that I could buy a suction cup and mount it to my windshield of my car this may be something I would consider.
