WTF they get all excited because of flushed headphone jack?

It really was annoying on the first one. Small issue, but annoying.

Im glad they kept it looking almost the same, i liked the first one.

Finally, the news that we've all been waiting for.

<--goes to grab sleeping bag, tent and foodstuffs. off to the apple store!

But not until July.. ugh.. 🙁

Heh.. but everything else has been included that I want.. looks like I can wait! 😉

Yeah, the 7/11 (heh) date isn't great, but whatever, it'll be worth it. 16GB or 8GB...that's the only decision now.

$199 MSRP or with new activation? I hope it's MSRP so I can just upgrade from my 4gb for 199 since I renewed my contract when I got my iPhone.

The way he made it sound MSRP, prolly out the door same as before

Well, Apple has certainly taken a huge step to merge mobile communications with home computers. I love my AT&T Tilt and Gmail custom domain email, but they are both lacking severely when it comes to managing contacts and calendars across devices. If the MobileMe service worked with custom domains I'd buy an iPhone 3G the day it comes out.

Can anyone comment on the longevity of the battery on the original iphone? Every other phone i've had, the battery is pretty much useless after a year. I'd hate to buy an iphone that has no removable battery, and have to replace it or throw it away after a year of use...

Damn, I was hoping for the notebook updates. I guess the rumors on delayed chips were correct.

Yea, looks like it. I wouldn't expect any design changes till Macworld in Jan, unless apple plans something else in between.

yep, apple store's up. If that price is MSRP w/o a contract...there's going to be pandemonium in the malls 😛 (not that there won't be anyway).

My family's on a family plan so if we can just go and buy the phones then we won't even need to sign a new contract...we could sign a new contract, get new phones and sell them 😀
