I hope that bastard gets shot point blank in front of his kids.

Is anyone on this board capable of a reasonable opinion on something? It's always either "COPS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT COPS ARE NEVER WRONG GO AMERICA WOOO" or "All cops are scum and should have their skin ripped off"

I love dogs and, thanks to every other story linked on ATOT, pretty much hate cops. But still, learn to reel it in a little, folks.

I do hope this guy loses his job and ends up guarding a crappy mall from 11-7 AM over this.

Nah, not me. I hope someone goes to his house, takes one of his kids out, and pops her in the head.

Call me fucked up, but he deserves it.

Yeah, I TRULY mean that too.

I've never understood the mentality that would allow some people to value an animal's life more than a human's.

That being said, it definitely sounds like the situation wasn't handled properly...although as always, there are at least two sides to any story.

Tell that to a cop on a power trip. Its the same mentality with those cops who pull you over for some b.s. reason and then demand to search your vehicle.

Thats true. A buddy of mine was pulled over in Baltimore. They asked to search his car, and my friend responded with "no, you need a warrant for that". The cops responded by telling my friend that they would get a warrant, then f*ck his car up, and make him get it back from the the pound.

I support law enforcement, but cops on power trips are just Pieces of sh!t in my opinion.

I value an innocent animal's life over a scumbag murdering/sick human any day of the week.

Owner should have asked for a warrant. If he forced his way to my dog, he would have been a dead cop.

Shens MF'er, BULLSH!T NO WAY are you gunning down a cop. Better check your epenis, it seems to be sucking the blood from your brain, and you seem to need a good deal more up there.

I don't know about you but my dog is my bud. He is a member of the family. If a cop knocks on my door, demands my dog so that he can kill it without a court order and no knowledge of my dog ever being violent, and then says that HE DOESN'T NEED ANY PROOF..... I will tell him to hold on, close and lock the door, grab my shotgun, and immediately call the police. Frankly, I would assume that he couldn't possibly be a real cop and if he broke down the door to get in I would assume my family is in life threatening danger and I would fire.

I don't deny that I would probably end up in the pokey unless I had a few of the best lawyers and a ton of media attention. But to go get my dog so someone could tie him up to a tree in my front yard and shoot him with a rifle without reason???? Oh hell no.

This is pretty much how I feel. Our dog is not just a random pet. She is part of the family with a personality and she has a place in our lives. If some moron came to the door and told me to bring her outside to be executed, I'd tell him to shove it and shut the door in his face.

That dog was still alive when his owner abandoned him, FOR SEVERAL DAYS, apparently exactly where he lay. Not my idea of a caring, responsible, dog owner. And all we have heard so far is this jamoke's side of the story?????

... Not that a TV new's team would ever run with a poorly sourced and incomplete story just for ratings, noooooooooo.

Edit: Anyone notice in the video with the dog's owner that the owner never once referred to his dog by name? Tell me, if it was your dog that had nearly been viciously killed by a rogue cop yet somehow survived and now you were talking about him, would you refer to you pup as "the dog" and "my dog" but NEVER by his name?

I'm not saying that the cop wasn't completely out of line, most likely. I'm just saying we haven't heard the whole story if all we've heard from is this fucking asshole, who left his dog to die where he was gunned down without even checking on him or giving him a decent burial. :|

Did you even freaking bother to read the article?

"That night Leo's father-in-law, who witnessed the whole thing, had a nervous breakdown and had to be hospitalized. When the family returned home from the hospital a few days later, they were shocked to see their dog alive. "

They were at the hospital because their father-in-law (father) was hospitalized. They were with their FAMILY. I'm going to go out on a limb here...stay with me...the father/father-in-law was more important than tending to a dog they thought was dead...shot dead by a freaking COP.

Also, the cop tied the dog to a pole out front and shot the dog. What other "side" of the story do you need????? I don't care if they had 30 complaints about the dog, you don't opening shoot a dog in a neighborhood on a front lawn!!! Not to mention the fact that he may have shot a dog in front of children getting off a school bus. If that is true?wow.
