Considering if I had a dog big enough to annoy people, it wouldn't be me killing the cop. And sorry, I'm all for cops enforcing laws, but this is over stepping the bounds and the LAW. It doesn't put him above it - he can't provide a warrant or proof, he isn't coming in. If he sets foot into my house, he will be warned to leave - and if he doesn't, well, it was his choice.

The cop would have to arrest me before he got to touch my dog. What he did was illegal and can only hope that he gets some kind of punishment.
Is anyone on this board capable of a reasonable opinion on something? It's always either "COPS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT COPS ARE NEVER WRONG GO AMERICA WOOO" or "All cops are scum and should have their skin ripped off"
I love dogs and, thanks to every other story linked on ATOT, pretty much hate cops. But still, learn to reel it in a little, folks.
I do hope this guy loses his job and ends up guarding a crappy mall from 11-7 AM over this.

Nah, it feels good to let it out. I don't hate all cops, I feel that most are good, and its the bad apples that spoil the bunch. Therefore when I hear of sh1t like this, it rubs me the wrong way, because I know there are good ones out there that are being hurt image-wise because some tard out there is on a powertrip.
So lets for the record not make this about cops, but stupid fvckin idiots.
Wow, I almost hate the family as much as the cop. My dogs (I have two) are like my kids. Anyone who wants to shoot my dogs is probably going to have to shoot me first if they're that determined. I'm sure as hell not going to go tie them to a post for you and stand by while you shoot them. And lets say, for the sake of argument that I did tie them up for you. I'm certainly going to make sure the dog is dead and not leave him to suffer there tied to a post for two days with multiple rifle wounds. And lastly, has that dog even seen a vet? I don't see any bandages, all I see are big gaping wounds.

That dog was still alive when his owner abandoned him, FOR SEVERAL DAYS, apparently exactly where he lay. Not my idea of a caring, responsible, dog owner. And all we have heard so far is this jamoke's side of the story?????
... Not that a TV new's team would ever run with a poorly sourced and incomplete story just for ratings, noooooooooo.
Edit: Anyone notice in the video with the dog's owner that the owner never once referred to his dog by name? Tell me, if it was your dog that had nearly been viciously killed by a rogue cop yet somehow survived and now you were talking about him, would you refer to you pup as "the dog" and "my dog" but NEVER by his name?
I'm not saying that the cop wasn't completely out of line, most likely. I'm just saying we haven't heard the whole story if all we've heard from is this fucking asshole, who left his dog to die where he was gunned down without even checking on him or giving him a decent burial. :|

Anyone else having a hard time reading that article? What I mean is that imo, the article feels like a retarded middle schooler wrote it. I mean how did the dog survive? They went to see the mom's dad and when they came back, OH LOOK IT'S A MIRACLE...the dog is alive! wtf!?
