That has the distinct look of a foot being smashed into the middle.

It was actually 5 surge protectors. One of them was about to fall out of the box. Luckily, they were all still in there.

No suprise, I work for a company in the summer that ships millions of units of product via UPS and we get sh1t back daily that the customer returned simply due to the condition of the packaging. Most of the time the boxes (they start white) come back looking like they were rolled downed fresh asphalt or something, black and beaten up, but generally intact. Occasionally we get boxes that look like they just exploded. :p But what's a few mangled boxes out of 5mil? :p

I guess I should just be lucky I've yet to receive a mangled box like that from any carrier.

Me, either. UPS just STEALS mine or pretends to deliver and then claims I was not there and makes me drive 30 miles to get it.

The funny thing is, packages from FedEx, FedEx Ground, DHL and USPS never arrive damaged...it's just UPS

That's strange. With all the problems people have with UPS, I've never had any problems with their deliveries. Must be the sort centers in your areas.

don't completely blame UPS on this. Staples boxes suck. I've had the bottom fall out from simply picking it up because the flaps are losely folded.
their paper boxes are even worse. huge boxes of paper with a thin strip of glue holding them together
