Anyone else start reading this in a heavy, Russian accent a sentence or so in? I know I did and it made it that much more awesome.

As the weapon is originally manufactured without a shoulder stock, it is considered a smooth-bore handgun, and thus an AOW, rather than a short-barrelled shotgun

woah.. so i only need a $5 tax stamp for AOW's instead of a $200 tax stamp?

I'm not sure about those rules and I don't think I'd trust Wiki, but the nearest FFL holder should be able to tell you.

Anyway, here's hickok45 demonstrating them.

only 3 rounds? so what exactly is the point of these? what role are they manufactured for? or are they just a fun toy?

Not sure I can really think where carrying this with it's bulk and low capacity over a handgun with less bulk and more capacity would be better?

It's for special door breaching shotshells. As noted, it's a specific, narrow application, not something many folks have.

Think SWAT units that need to breach a door to gain entry to a building. Rather than carry two guns, it's a mix.
