WTF Pandora?

I've got a Bush (90's grunge/alt rock band) channel setup and he gets played on there too.

I still don't understand why people use services like Pandora (any internet radio).

It's annoying as hell.

Because it's free? There aren't too many free (and legal) alternatives. Not all of us are pirates.

The Music Genome is a strange beast but as I understand it - if others who like the same songs you have have thumbed up also liked Johnny Cash - then it will go into music discovery mode and seed you a song that it thinks you will like.

Using your thumbs up/down - really help defines a station.

Goes along perfectly with my theory that most people are dumb as rocks.

Sonos + Pandora = 23.5 hours of constant, uncensored streaming audio in 5 rooms of my house + deck. For free(less hardware cost).

It's easily one of the best $500(cost of sonos) I've spent in my home. It is used every day, for hours a day.

Sonos = the new Bose of Music world.

🙂

$500? REALLY??!?! LMAO

Just about every single radio station in US has its own free internet player.

It was more like $400 + $100 for the controller since I bought before I had an "iDevice". No argument about the price, but for over two years now that thing has been on 24/7 cranking out virtually non-stop music. I get one 15 second commercial every hour or so and unlimited skips. So it's bascially a premium subscription for the price of the hardware. Couple more years and it paid for itself on top of the fact that "it just works".

If you don't enjoy endless amounts of streaming music with minimal interuptions, fuss, or drama then you wouldn't understand.
