First, NewEgg tends to do this, so it seems. It may not be on there tonight.

I saw something in WSJ on AMD. Seems this could be a make or break for them. Here I've never owned an AMD, always had an Intel Processor (except a couple of years when I first learned programming on an Apple). People do need to support them, and I'm seriously considering this upgrade path. Intel without competition means no new chipsets until after they've bled all they can from the consumer. The computer world would be a much colder place without AMD, at least in a form it can compete with Intel.

Nope, couldn't find a mobo on newegg I possible saw on Pricewatch for like $450, but they didn't have them yet.

toms hardware has a writeup on a opteron platform, but i have not read it yet. i cannot comment as to the content and what not, just that they had an article. i came to anand to see if they had a non-biased comparison before heading over there.

www.aceshardware.com seems to have a much much much much much much much better review than toms... but yes, probably better to wait for anand's review.

I believe the Nforce3 Pro 150 is out.

workstation mobos have yet to come out, but they should be widely avaliable by the summer
