My mom came home one day (she was a nurse) and told everyone she needed to test for Hepatitis, since she got exposed. The truth was she was drawing everyone's blood only to test my g/f for pregnancy....survey said negative.

nice ethics. your mom should lose her job.

btw: Crazyperson, if you don't get paternity test results as soon as possible, and she ends up having the kid and you stick around, you will still be liable for child support in many states EVEN IF it is later found out that you aren't the father. Hopefully none of that will apply to you but thought you'd like to know 😉

How did it have anything to do with her job? She tested the blood on her own ... let me guess you think only in a dr's office such testing can be done.

I don't know of any states that rule a man is liable ever if a paternity test is ruled out.

Do you watch talk shows everyday?!?

You're right, I did think the blood would be tested through her work. I don't think it's an unreasonable assumption since you pointed out the fact that she's a nurse. Job or not, it is still unethical to lie about why she was drawing the blood.

In California particularly there are many cases of "fathers" who were later found out not to be the biological father, yet for the good of the child were forced to pay child support.

Love is based on trust.

Not tortally, mutual respect is way more important.
Tell her that you just had a test to see if you are capable of fathering a child and the test came back that your sperm count is so low that the chances of you being a father is 6000 to 1.

Bullsh!t. She's trying to con you into marrying her immediately. DON'T. Make sure you know exactly what the truth is- which is obviously that she isn't pregnant with your kid.

exactly! if she wont show you the test, then she's messing with you....find out ASAP! if the kid is yours or not!

I think the best recommendation in this thread is that you approach her, and tell her you want to take her to the Dr.'s office to get a blood test and listen to what she is/isnt supposed to do during pregnancy. She would have a very hard time turning that down.

no see test = she's lying. after you find out she really is lying, dump her dumb @$$, no matter how hot she is. next time take care of the bc yourself, dumb@$$. if she is pregnant, will she have the b@by?

I just went through a scary 3 weeks, so I kind of know what you're going through, though she finally told me she wasn't. I honestly don't know what I would have done, as I am definitely not at a stage of life where I could realistically deal with something like that.

There are several reasons why most religions preach abstinence - and this is at the top of the list. If you can't handle the responsibilities that come with engaging in intercourse you shouldn't be doing it.

man, why does someone always have to bring religion into everything?

crazy? good luck to ya, one of my ex fvcked with my head by telling me she was knocked up. had me going crazy for about a week. hopefully, everything'll come out ok.

just wondering, but do you have any Metal wire hangers in the closet, or do you just own the plastic ones?😕

This is one that I wouldn't laugh at in public, even though it was damn good one.

Well I hate to beat a dead horse...

but for my personal POV it goes a little something like this...

2+ unique observible pregnency tests mean she is pregnant.

2+ sets of blood work completed at different labs means its mine.

And yes, in California you can get stuck with support for a child that is not yours. A very good associate of mine is supporting two daughters right now, even though only one of them is his.

Not since 1970. In 1970 the NOAA began assigning alternating male and female names. The names are repeated unless one of them hits land. That name is then dropped and a new name is put in its place.

As far as the original post, something is up, man. Make *sure* you know she's pregnant.

Please do us all a HUUUUGE favor, don't marry her if you don't love her. (you'll ruin your life on top it) If you do marry her.. PLEASE do not get a divorce and fvck up the kid. I don't want another social delinquint roaming the streets popping zoloft like it ju-ju beans.

I'm paying TOO many/much taxes to get through life. I don't want to support another single mom and her kid on WIC and food stamps. And don't get conned into marriage through a kid, most times it never works out.

Do the right thing FOR YOU-HER-Unborn zygote- AND US. 🙂

(use protection next time too)

After working in human services for the last 16 years I know that there's NO easy answer to this problem. Unhappy marriages abound, no doubt. Kids with emotional problems are all around us. However, women that are victimized by terminating pregnancies are suffering without aid. I know this isn't an aborti0n thread but if you THINK that's an option, I would consider that you look at additional options. I've done several papers on what's termed as post abortion syndrome and it is very insidious and devasting. Research is now emerging on the effects that abortion has on the fathers who abort.

Adoption works, so does abstinence. They me choices some don't consider but the alternatives are somewhat thin in these cases.

I always wondered why people laughed when I said I wanted to name my first born son "Andrew".

They could have at least told me that's a girl's name.
