WTF kind of spider is this?!?

Went outside the other night and this was on our window.... gave me cold chills just looking at it. I don't know what in the hell it is, but it was pretty damn big and I was afraid to get anywhere near it:

Can anyone tell me what it is? It makes me pretty uneasy to know these things are crawling around the outside of my house

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get some granulated Ortho Spider Killing Goodness and spread it on your lawn.

Looks like a member of the Syringer species.

I don't know what it is but I would probably piss myself and scream like a little girl if I saw that inside my house! If I were you I'd just hope they stay outside where they belong!

Looks big enough to possibly kill mice, which should be a good thing around your house. As long as it stays outside...

I can't say that I agree completely. If you could find a picture of one of their webs then we could definately figure it out a little more. The funnel weaver spider looks a little thinner than the spider posted... but you guys may be right. The coloration and features are very similar.
