And she's also freakishly tall. Yuck.

Can't stand the Grammy's because of the dreadful "collaboration" bullshit anymore. Okay, stop jamming two singers together for an act just because... They're usually atrocious.

Skipped the rest of this show watching Walking Dead, Once Upon a Time, and studying for a midterm.

I watched only because i heard at the last second that Adele would be performing. Much of it was muted (I don't think I've watched the grammys in....ever.)

Taylor Swift, really? that had to be the must unauthentic crud that I've every seen. really--she dresses like a homely hobo and stands up there with a banjo, singing some BS teen angsty crap, and I'm supposed to believe that she has anything to do with bluegrass or even country?

lmao. the two people that "opened" for her blew her off the fucking stage.

taylor fucking swift, my ass.

UGH! I couldn't stand her performance. It was hollow and flat. NO ONE can sing that song like Whitney, so it was a slap in the face to even have someone attempt it.

They could have picked ANY other Whitney song and it would have been better.

well, I thought it was quite good--because it wasn't so much how Whitney sung it. I think Whitney nails that song, of course, but I don't think it's the best version of Dolly's classic. it's certainly the one that most people know.

I don't imagine it was very easy for Hudson to sing it, either.

True, but wanted to make sure people knew it wasn't an original. One of my musical pet peeves is when original artists don't get credit for their songs.

Like my idiot friend loving Bad Company by 5 Finger Death Punch and not realizing it was a remake.

American Idol is painful to watch because of this.

all the douchnozzle teenagers showing up saying "I'm gonna sing Proud Mary by Tina Turner!"

or the same with Dolly's song.

pisses me off all the time. :p

damn Taylor Swift had the ugliest dress on I've ever seen. And what a god awful performance, it was so bad it me wish Niki Minaje(sp?) was on stage, and I FUCKING HATE Niki's ass. She should be banned from ever performing on any award show ever again.

I watched it and was saying it was okay then, but in retrospect and after seeing it on the news a bunch of times, I take it back: it wasn't good at all. Her voice was not suited for Whitney's song, and it did sound monotone. The screaming/yelling into the mike just for screaming/yelling's sake was also a bit annoying - just because you can hold a note until you're out of breath, it doesn't make it sound good.

Celine Dion is probably one of the few whom have the range to pull it off.

They wouldn't have done that because Céline would have set the new standard and it's not cool to make Whitney look like #2 on her tribute night.

What's really sad is that Whitney was called too pop, not R&B enough, even too clean, too 'white' by some in the black community early in her career, then she met bad boy Bobby Brown and started to 'keep it real' until she was broke (after 170 million albums sold) and it killed her. People may find Céline bland but she started before Whitney and is still going on strong, takes care of her voice and body, is a consumate professional, never late or not showing up (something Whitney the diva was famous for) or making outrageous demands, is rich and has invested her money wisely, successful, a great mother and wife, and very involved with charities and helping others.

Rumour has it that Whitney's daughter is also a drug addict now, at 17. :(

They wouldn't have done that purely because she was a "sister". You honor that "appropriately".

Taylor Swift, winner on the stage and the carpet

I think it's funny so many think Taylor Swift is so innocent and righteous.

Chick was a cock-gobbler in high school. Started young and profited.
