I normally wouldn't make a thread about this but the sheer idiocy of it completely took me by surprise. Anyways, I was driving back from the university after finishing my few classes for Friday. So I'm coming back into my town (Endwell) and the main road that runs through it is Hooper Rd. There's also another road that runs perpindicular to it (Country Club Rd) and they intersect right in the center of the town. As most intersections have, theres another lane you can get into to turn left, and in this case it would be to make a left onto Country Club from the way Im coming.
So, Im about a 1000 feet or so from the intersection and there's this white Taurus (02' or 03') that's been riding my bumper (even though I was going at least 5 over) since I got off at the Endwell exit from 17C. I don't think much about it since people are like that and it usually doesn't irk me. So as Im traveling down the road I look in my rear view and she all of a sudden just starts getting close, and I thought she was just gonna rear end me or somethin. Instead, she cuts way over into the oncoming lane with a double yellow line still present and continues riding the line until the left turn lane begins about 300ft later.
The funny part about all this was that while the lights were green, I was going straight and was able to just go through the intersection. Her on the other hand, had to wait for the oncoming traffic to go by before she could turn and Im pretty sure the light changed to red before she could make it.
I hope that b!tch (it was a middle aged woman, go figure) DIAF, all for just trying to save a few seconds but in the process putting many other people at risk.:disgust:
Cliffs:
1. Double yellow lines are there for a reason
