WTF is that? Photo snapped in Lousiana woods

OK, so it's IR, not a strobe. That still doesn't change the fact that the camera timer caught the "thing" at the most photogenic, staring directly at and hissing at the camera. The perfect pose. Not to mention the destroyed camera but surviving SD card. Silly fake.

Doubtful it's a PhotoShop job, since most people this silly can't do a decent PhotoShop job.

Yea, it's an IR, and if it is photoshopped, then whoever did it is a beast at it, because the ground detail blends in with the "monster" very well.

this looks more real

I doubt game cameras use flash. I'm sure it's ir, and night vision to capture images. That would also explain the big eye glow,, since they'd be fully dilated in the dark. As for what it is... It's obviously a Cajun :^D

Game cameras use IR emitters (LEDs) to "light" the subject in IR and then use night vision type technology. Same as home surveillance video cameras.

Someone on another forum pointed out there was writing on the "creature" FWIW. Can honestly say I didn't see it, but wasn't really into staring at that thing for very long haha.

Haven't they had a 'skunk ape' legend in that neck of the woods for a long time? I remember hearing this in the eighties when I was very interested into sasquatch and other hominid cryptids reports and stuff.

Edit: Found Wiki link.

HO-LY SHE-IT. I have never frickin' heard of the "Skunk Ape" but my friends and I freaking SAW one in the woods in Arnco/Newnan, GA. I've even mentioned it on these forums and described it EXACTLY as an upright orangutang-looking primate-like creature. Though it was a pretty close encounter (saw it several yards away), I never smelled it... This was around 1991 and I was haulin' my 10yo ass out of the woods as fast as I possibly could, so I was probably upwind and soon too far to smell if he had a stench. The thing even tried to cover itself up, so it fits PERFECTLY with this shy creature that tries to avoid you by smelling bad. Why has no one ever mentioned a "Skunk Ape" to me when I've told my story in the past?!

Because your story is probably ridiculous and details were slowly adapted unknowingly to fit a legend which may or may not be real (it's not).

I love this response from the new channels comments section

"Just think of the money it took to "investigate" and "report" on this. Everyone from the station owner down to the lowliest reporter must be as dumb as dried paint. They should all be fired and the station repurposed as a McDonald's.
Waste of time, waste of airspace, waste of humanity. Shows like this deserve a viewer rating of ZERO."

Yeah, you go ahead and keep believing that. 😀

And you go on baselessly claiming that my story changed. Like I said, I never heard of a "Skunk Ape" until now TO modify my story to fit it. If you want to doubt it, the more likely explanation is that it could've been a man in a suit (tall enough for stilts?) who could still jump really high but you'd think he would have made sure "skunk ape" rumors were all over instead of fooling a couple kids who didn't even know about it and leaving it at that.

Man, I should have seen that right away. Can't believe I missed that.

I absolutely loved the Resistance games.

I played through and hated them yet I seemed to be the only one here who saw it before hand. Why everyone assumed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and ran with that, I don't know, but S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a much more original game series (Resistance was an unoriginal rip-off in every way imaginable).
