WTF is Quiznos' problem with coupons...

Quiznos keeps e-mailing me every few weeks with coupons to print out from their website... and EVERY FREAKING TIME i try to use them in stores (different stores), they give me the damn hardest time about it, I almost have to fight with them to accept it.

Today the lady told me she couldnt accept it because it had to be a hard copy, not printed. After I got into a nice discussion with her and showed her the address it was printed from (their own DANG website), it took two other customers in front of me to persuade her to take it since they said they get the coupons as well.

2-3 weeks ago, i was shot down at another quiznos, so i walked out without paying nor picking up the sandwich they had made.

A similar thing happened a few months ago.

WTF QUIZNOS. DON'T SEND COUPONS IF YOUR GONNA BE A BITCH ABOUT EM.

my quiznos takes coupons printed out without a hitch. Heck I printed a B1G1 free coupon 20 times and used almost all of them.

What i do is order the sub first, and then use the coupon at the cashier. If they don't take it, then i walk out. I did this one time with 4 subs because i was the lunch runner that day... and the kid said only one coupon per order. I said fine, and was walking out, when the manager said i could use the coupons.

Yes, it is well know they don't like the coupons. The fvcked up thing is that the manager "Turtle Tom" (he looks like a turtle seriously), put a huge stack of free small sub with purchase of chips and drink in our mail box at Staples. He gave me a hard time! I paid my 1.99 or whatever and left with my meal.

FVCK QUIZNO'S IT REALLY ISNT THAT GOOD, BUT FOR 2 BUCKS FOR AN ENTIRE MEAL I WILL EAT THERE EVERY FVCKING DAY.

Well, it probably has something to do with the Quiznos corporation making all the franchises bend over. The franchises suffer from discounts while the head corporation doesn't care if a store closes or not. http://www.toastedsubs.info/

It has to do with the tension between the quiznos franchise and the individual store. Basically, the franchise has been putting out tons of coupons without the stores consent. That and a bunch of other issues have caused a lot of problems.

It should be right there to the right of where you order... I think they are inpendantly owned though, but calling will probaly only get you MORE coupons, which they might or might not take HAHA I can try looking for it tomorrow, because of this thread, i think i will coupon it up.

QFT. Read the franchise forums, Quiznos is one of the WORST to deal with.

Don't all the coupons say "Prices and Participation may vary" (note: I've never seen one of these printable coupons)? Seems like that would be the loophole the franchises would need.

Wouldn't these coupons work like coupons work for grocery stores? I realize it's more work for the owners to fill them out and send them back for reimbursement, but if they start losing business because of it, it'd probably be worth their time.

I'm no marketing genius, but I think coupons are designed to get people into the store.

I'm no marketing genius, but coupons that give discounts franchised owners have to eat the cost of, but corporate doesn't suffer for but sends out is the win.
If that's quizno's corporate policy that is terrible... yet funny...

That's exactly what's going on (read the previous threads on Quizno's)... franchisees are being raped by upfront costs, dilution of their market by overbuilding of Quizno's stores, and raped by corporate on cost of goods.

So yeah... they'll be a little pissed when they have to lose even more money from coupons they didn't advertise or even agree to support.

I've never had a problem using coupons, even though I usually buy subs off the Real Deal menu and the coupons specifically say they exclude those items.

I'm sure the owners would prefer you stay a customer. But I don't blame them for being angry that the corporation hands out coupons like candy for which the franchise owner has to eat the cost.

What's the value of the coupons, anyway?
