Helps make up for all the oppression suffered by the Christians in this country today.

Cue the Monty Python peasant.

Do they have Jewish day? A day for Muslims? Buddhists? Atheists? Wiccans?

The only religion important to baseball is pure faith. The faith that finally delivered to the most deserving of fans, after generations of devout belief, in Red Sox nation and the Chicago Cubs.

All the rest is garbage and insulting.
What I want to know is, in liberal Seattle why Louie Louie (the state song) was replaced with GAWD BLESS AMERICA! during the 7th inning stretch. Isn't NASCAR enough of a safe place for you people that feel the need to be proselytized to?

Edit: Not even "Take me out to the ballgame" which is deep baseball tradition.

Considering the modern churches mission of going forth to grow their personal wealth they should've had a get rich quick motivational speaker day complete with offering plate shaped concession stand carriers and serving plates. And it kind of goes with baseball as they have to make a pitch to their audience to get them to buy into their BS.:p

I think combining church with baseball might be just the method needed to finally reach absolute zero. All molecular, atomic, and neurological motion would cease.

Agreed. A boycott is in order.

However, remember, it is a private organization on private property. They are well within their rights to do this.

Well with the weeping and crying one would think it was.
Too bad Paul and Jan Crouch are gone else they could sit on their gold laced leather thrones and pitch the good news of MLB to their flocks. Anybody remember them? What about Jan's 100k dog house? Maybe they can get Kenneth Copeland and Jesse Duplantis to fly in on their private jets to promote the program.

If it makes you feel any better one could claim God smote St. Louis into the hollowed out husk of a city it's become.

Next thing one of their mouthpieces will get on TBN and declare that unless you paste KC BBQ sauce across the threshold of your front door that your neighborhood will be overrun by feral pigs.:p

I wonder if they'll get Trump to parrot this for them to the sound of the Benny Hill theme song?

Some of the players think so. See christian players do the sign of the cross which is a catholic sign lol or point to the sky. Like God cares that they hit a home run.

I wonder how many of the Christians in attendance think the other Christians are Christian?

Of course he cares about that. It is the people starving to death or infested with horrific diseases that he doesn't care about.

Sheesh! enough already. It's a promotion. Teams do it all the time. They target a group or groups and have a special day for them. Probably offered discount packages for church groups to bring them in. Christians are a demographic. It is ok for a business to market to them. Pretty sure there is a pride day as well. I know the local double A team near me had one of those already. Almost every game is some kind of promotion targeting a demographic. It is called building your brand.

Really? Never in my life have I heard of a professional sports team having a religious day. But I don't live in the fairy tale belt. Never has there been a Redskins Christian day, thank god. Apparently MLB has done this with some teams for years. I personally find it repugnant, but MLB is so greedy they will promote anything. NAMBLA Day, Creationist Day, Jews for Jesus Day, Atheist for God Day and on and on.

Just stick to baseball.
