I consider myself a foodie but try to stay away from fancy/expensive places. It's about finding great food/places that are hopefully cheap eats.

It's like buying wine. You can buy a $100 bottle and there is a pretty good chance it will be good/great.

Or you can buy a $10 bottle and have a 50/50 chance it will be good. Every once in a while you will find that $10 bottle of wine that is even better than those $100 bottles.

Everyone loves food and can appreciate good food(well most), I generally find people that call themselves foodies are egotistical know it alls. Unless you're a chef, you're just an idiot with an opinion.

negatory. just cuz I can't cook doesn't mean I don't know what tastes good.

foodies will do research, track shit down, and make treks to eat good food.

I've eaten 11 bowls of ramen in a week, 5 dumpling houses in a day, driven 50+ miles for food, etc.

I don't give a fuck how pretentious it sounds, that type of dedication is what defines a foodie.

I don't think someone who yelps shit and says "oh this place has 5* let's eat here" makes a foodie.

If you like her do it, no one said you had to fall in love with her. She will probably let you cover her in chocolate sauce.

We are always looking to try out new places. Go to chowhounds.com or yelp for options and reviews. I'm always in the hunt to try out Bi Bim Bop or Falafels from new places.

My favorite falafel is made by the Falafel King, a hole in wall in downtown crossing in Boston. A former Iraqi soldier that makes the best Israeli Falafels.

lol, what you do for food, i've done for weed. I'd driven three hours each way to get it at the right quality/price. Can't say it was a boring drive either, a good time was had by all.

Dude, he didn't say "instant".

When someone says Ravioli, do you assume it's chef Boy Ar Dee in a can?

Come on, most people think of the crappy instant Ramen noodles when anyone says ramen. The same thing goes with a bunch of stuff including mac n' cheese.

You need a life where not every topic is connected to drugs. And stop driving impaired, dumbass.

Pretty sure corn is gaijin

Actually it's a type of ramen made famous in the Sapporo region of japan.

Sapporo, from the capital of Hokkaidō, is especially famous for its ramen. Most people in Japan associate Sapporo with its rich miso ramen, which was invented there and which is ideal for Hokkaidō's harsh, snowy winters. Sapporo miso ramen is typically topped with sweetcorn, butter, bean sprouts, finely chopped pork, and garlic, and sometimes local seafood such as scallop, squid, and crab. Hakodate,[3] another city of Hokkaidō, is famous for its salt flavored ramen, while Asahikawa,[4] in the north of the island, offers soy sauce flavored ones.

It means she likes good food.

it also means that if she's already chubby, she will likely get much fatter (properly-prepared proteins often requires tons of butter! yum)

it also means that eating at good restaurants will hurt your bank account.

but you'll learn about real food, so....pick and choose.
