I think I'd have got off my ass and went and got the computers. "I can't get a ride" is bullshyt.
Why can't people hear something as loud as "Get these computers or I'm sitting them outside"?
Muthafvcka please.

Wow, your friends suck.

You probably should have confirmed with him that night that he wouldn't put the computers outside, but considering that he might as well have given the computers away, I'd say you're entitled to get your money back. One way or another.

Sounds about right. Although I think it was a bad idea to ship several hundreds of dollars worth of computers to a friend who's mad at you, don't you think? (directed at the OP)

He wasn't mad @ me until Thursday when he opened the PSU box and saw that there were only 3 plugs with it. The computers had already shipped out on Tuesday so there's not much I could do about it unless I could forsee him being pissed somehow?

You lost my sympathy when you suggested he use Best Buy for a free PSU rental.

Yes I know that was wrong, and to the people that thought he was kidding I wish you were right.

You'll win easily in small claims court. However, check your state's laws. Is it a one party state for recording phone calls? If so, make sure you get a call with him recording the fact that he said you could have the computers shipped to his address.

However, I'd bet he's just pulling your chain too. Either that, or he's incredibly stupid. btw, you can probably sue for the replacement value of the computers - not just what you paid for them.

I also forgot to mention I have some of the computers on Ebay, already and one is ending in a few hours so I have no clue what to do with that either since it was one of the ones that went missing. I wish I could somehow file a criminal charge as well. I am seriously just typing and my hands are shaky as I seriously can't believe something like that...

I'm going to get negative feedback on Ebay for this most likely as I'm basically screwed with the auctions...

OK! Let's hunker down and start reading!

This might be a semi-long story but here it goes. About 3 weeks ago I was telling my friend...

If you haven't called the cops to ask what can be done, do so. He knowingly took property that was yours and that he had given you permission to have sent to him. He then knowingly put that property somewhere where he knew it would be stolen. I'd bet he's just as guilty as if he had stolen it himself....

Call the cops or an attorney.

I'd stab him in the eye with a soldering iron.

That or call the cops and see what can be done.

You need to take a cab over and get your computers from your "friend". Call the cops if he doesn't have them... that'll show him, lol.

Hard to feel sorry for a guy who ebays stuff he doesn't even have possession of.

you cliff note people are seroiusly lazy..
takes the goodness outa reading a crappy story like that..(crappy ending i mean:p)
you have 1200 you can spend on laptops or w/e shipped to a friend who's pissed off at you,
yet you do'nt have a car?
cause THAT makes sense..

plus, in all actuallity, he gave you fair warning he was gonna put your stuff on the curb, a sh!ty thing to do, but he warned you
not to mention that he was being VERY juvenile about the whole PS thing..

well.. in all actuality, he gave this "fair warning" to a "friend" he must have known didn't have a car, I mean.. you'd know that about a friend, right?, at 11:00 on a friday night, and this was the first indication he'd given him that they'd even arrived.. it's really not all that realistic to imagine that he'd be able to be over and pick them up within the hour..

Yeah, well he could give him "fair warning" he was gonna knock his teeth out with a baseball bat and it wouldn't make it legal.

If the second dude signed for that property he is hosed because he effectively gave it away after having agreed to receive it for the first dude.

The first dude needs to buy a car and get new friends.

You should have just left out the fact that you sold a PC on eBay without actually having it yourself, and also that you wanted someone to rent and return a PSU from BB.

I have no sympathy for you, I really think there is more to this story.

Yeah, those are both creepy things to do although I can sorta forgive the BB thing, lol.

Why are you selling something you don't have?
