This might be a semi-long story but here it goes. About 3 weeks ago I was telling my friend I'm probably going to sell my laptops and buy a custom built computer from the forums. So he's like build me one. So after I spend about 10 hours talking to him and he discusses it with his parents about another week passes and he finally says he wants to do it. So he calls me up, comes over to my place we order the parts everything seems fine and dandy.
The next Thursday, everything comes in and I put it together. Everything works perfect next morning he calls me up and says it won't turn on. I go over there diagnose and think the psu is dead. So I spend several hours looking for a psu and headphones for him (which he wanted as well) on the forums. Didn't find anything so I told him his best bet is to get a nice Antec at bestbuy pay the price, order one online and return the Antec afterwards. So he does that. I put it together again everything is great. In the meantime everything is cool, I ordered like 5 refurb dells online @ delloutlet.com when they had their best deals going on for around $400 or so a piece, and since I already had a ton of stuff shipped to my dorm address and didn't want to get in trouble for it, I asked the friend whether I could have 3 of the shipped to his address. He said that's fine.
Then that Sunday he asked me which PSU he should buy, I suggested a no-name brand which I've never had any problems with ever and have used their psus several times (I suggested this especially since he wanted to spend the least amount possible). He got the PSU on Thursday and is like wtf this only has 3 power plugs what if I get another harddrive or another fan or something. I was told him to calm down. The he said It's my fault and that I should pay for his PSU. I right clicked on my AIM icon and clicked exit after that one, no need to talk to a person who feels that way, especially after I suggested the fact that he could buy 2-1 y-cables for like $2 shipped a piece and wasting all this time with him. So this week the 2 I ordered came in on Wednesday so I was like cool.
Called him Thursday and asked if the 3 I ordered to his address were there yet. He said he doesn't know. I said ok fine. Friday at 11pm he calls me up and tells me the computers are there and that I need to get them now otherwise he's putting them outside his dorm. He said he couldn't move around his room etc (I have 2 in my room and there is plenty of space left). Anyways, I told him I didn't have a car (which he knew very well) he told me to find someone. I asked him politely whether he could get his car and help me with it he said he was parked on the otherside of campus and that it's far and I should find someone. I went and asked two other people that had cars but they were unwilling to help me out. I said I'd have to wait until tomorrow, and went to sleep.
I woke up around 3pm today and immediately contacted him to ask if he could help me out with the computers since I really don't know how I could get them from him otherwise I don't know what to do. I got the response: "I put them outside the dorm last night and they're gone". So I'm like wtf you can't be serious $1200+ worth of computers gone? I'm going to definetly file a suit in Small Claims...which person in their right mind would do something like that seriously? I wasted probably 20+hour with all his stuff and then this...I built him a comp that works perfect for free, I suggested which parts he needed, I seriously don't know what to say I'm in disbelief...
