If nobody (believably) claims it, then it's almost certain that it's Al Qaeda.

IRA isn't out of the question. They liked to bomb the crap out of London in the 70s and 80s, but it was usually one giant blast, not coordinated. Maybe they felt they needed to make it coordinated to be taken seriously in the current terrorist environment.

Then it would be the 'Real IRA', the militant split-off from the IRA who see the current IRA as treators.

Very unlike a typical IRA bombing: several blasts, no warning given. Plus they've not been into bombings for years now.
I'm banking on Al Q or another group of yalla yallas...

The IRA like robbing banks and targetting key individuals now, not blowing massive amounts of people up.

Not sure how my upload will like this, but I have BBC News 24 on my PC at home, and it's set up with a VNC connection

Maybe we could do some kind of proxy/relaying of it to various ATOT people? If anyone knows how to do that, that is!

ira hit symbolic targets. not mass civilian slaughter. thats jihadi behavior. a website already has claimed responsibility anyways.

it seems that the London officials are asking civilians to help out by pointing out suspicious people/activity.

To all that have friends and family in London right now, I hope you're able to get in touch with them and I hope they're all OK. I have a close friend who lives in London right now. I hope he's OK, but I haven't been able to get in touch with him yet :(

?? jihadis have always hated the infidels/great satans foreign policy. and considering what they want. its just unacceptable and frankly impossible to appease them. and frankly its bullsh*t anyways. when have we intentionally bombed civilians as a tactic?

I'm not talking about appeasing them, i'm talking about the reasons that brought to their Existance (The Regimes, Extreme religious upbringing, US/West Hatred, History of Exploitation and many others)

In relation to Intentionally bombed Civilians, The way in Afganistan and Iraq were brutal, Tens of thousands of innocent civilians were killed due to Coalition bombardments and attacks. You can argue that they were intentional or not (and I'm sure some were intentional, especially after various tormentation of Iraqi soldiers/Citizens), but the fact is, Civilians were killed, Casualties of War? I find it hard to believe a commander than drops a 100 Ton bomb on a densely populated area does not realize the risk.

Yeah this seems Al Q. Man - A coordinated attack. It's been a while since we've seen one of these. I hope the casualties aren't too bad.

i just heard on the news that the "normal" al-queda websites haven't mentioned or taken credit for the bombings. there is another group that has taken credit on their website...i'm not sure how to spell the name, so i won't for risk of confusion.

Tens of thousands? Do you have proof? Have you ever spoken to an Iraqi person before? In SE Michigan, there were celebrations by the Iraqi population (second largest in the world, below Iraq) when he was overthrown. Why do people automatically assume that they didn't want this to happen?

I don't think we will know the truth for some time. There is just too much chaos now.

American morning news shows are showing 7 Underground stops were targeted along with at least one double-decker bus (footage was shown of the upper level of one bus destroyed) They are also reporting that Al Qaeda al-Jihad is claiming responsibility and demanding Denmark, Italy, and others pull out of Iraq.

I'll stop posting about the matter, as it might be inappropriate really, not here anyways. Just one last thing:

Tens of thousands? Do you have proof? Have you ever spoken to an Iraqi person before? In SE Michigan, there were celebrations by the Iraqi population (second largest in the world, below Iraq) when he was overthrown. Why do people automatically assume that they didn't want this to happen?

I'll happy Saddam was taken down, the trouble is the How's and Why's. How? too many innocent people died, the general feeling of people was that the US didn't care about civilian casualties, there were more Important matters to be delt with. The Why's worry each and Every Iraqi, Honestly? I see the US invading iraq only for the oil. If anyone is interested in reasons, feel free to PM me or start a new thread...

<3 Hope people would just stop being killed.
