I'm voting for Big Oil, I mean for Bush, so I can support the lives of those who deserve it more than the rest of us....

Thank you sir, may I have another!

It's time to realise that voting for your philosophy rather than for your wallet just makes others rich at your own expense.

You are in a trance and need to snap out of it, b/c you are eating a line of BS that would make a false preacher blush.

So tell me, do you really think that if Gore had been elected that gas would be much if any cheaper.

I really just want to see how uninformed you are about why gasoline is high right now.

MUauhahahaAhahahAHAHah!!! I laugh at your pathetic prices! 5.4$ gallon last time I checked. Just a few big SUVS here and Im not angry at them cos I know for the price their paying for the gazoline they must REALLY need it.

Someone said something for the defense of SUVs but really there isnt any, your just plain lazy to search for any alternatives or your manhood would be compromised if you using one.

I don't mind SUVs... except for when a soccer mom on her cellphone gets distracted and slams into my sedan, totally destroying my car, while hers barely has a scratch.

The tax on gas in Germany is about 3 bucks a us gal. I suppose that hikes up the price quite a bit. I am not sure there is any gas in racing fuel by the way, It dont smell like it and it will eat the brass off a doorknob and It a little over 6 bucks a gallon here.

I just paid $0.90 (cnd) per litre which works out to $2.48 (usd) a gallon.

Well, even this morning after most Stations are now well over $2 a gallon the U.S. Administration continues to say we are facing a Oil shortage, that we are 3 million barrels behind last year in Inventory for the Refiners to process and that rationing will have to take place this summer.

While the Saudi's continue to say we have a glut of Oil and that the Summer MTBE blending and the Refineries not able to process fast enough is to blame.

Who do you believe?

Of course everyone will believe the U.S. Administration and Etech right?

While in Europe, they have an alternative transportation that they can rely on, so the price of gasoline does not impact them as much as it impacts us here. Of course, we feel the pain much more with the rising of the gas price.
People in the US feel the pain because they drive pathetically inefficient vehicles. Few people with a civic right now are kept up at night over gas prices. If your road-tank gets 16 mpg on premium though you may be.

I was alive in the 70s, and what they actually said was that the price of gas would level off at around $10/gal by 1985, that the internal combustion engine was obsolete, and that the world would run completely out of oil by the mid 90s. It was a con then, it's a con now.
How do you know it's a con now? That's like people who warned the US gov't about terrorism. Oh, they were wrong so many times...but look, in 9/11 it happened. Oil is finite and everybody knows that. There will be a peak hit and pain for a lot of people. It may not be now, but just because it wasn't in the 70's doesn't mean it ever will be. I'd almost like to see it run out just to spite some of you old foggies who think that it will never run out :)
