Just a note to my northern brethren:
Arizona is hot in the Summer. DST would shift folks' schedules so they could be out enjoying the 115 degree heat instead of being stuck in an air conditioned office. For Arizona, DST would likely cost more in energy than standard time as folks cracked up the A/C an hour earlier and an hour hotter each day.
