WTF - a bladeless fan?

You know I saw these things heavily discounted (and still way too much I'd pay for a ...fan!) and was not impressed. Sure they look neat but I thought they were noisy for the amount of air moved. It's sort of gimmickry. Anyone ever been to a place called Mystery Hill in Tennessee? Yeah it's kind of like that.

i don't understand who wants to pay more for less because 'oh noes the turbulence!'

although a fan utilizing ducted airflow and a squirrel cage (like the blower in your car or home AC) or a turbine is sure to be more efficient. at least one would think. the latter would probably need to spin fast as shit and have properly sized inlets and outlets, though. don't know why dyson wouldn't just use some idiot-proof tech (since their products appear to be made by idiots).

Does it still have a cord? My little cousin cut the cord on a fan with some metal scissors. I think he might of got a shock or was scared by the sparks...

I bought a set of two tower fans from Costco years ago that use the squirrel cage design, and I love 'em. They take up much less space too as they have a small footprint. I think they were $49-$59 for the set, and included remotes. I have seen the same deal nowdays at stores like Target.

oh yeah it's good stuff. and if you want a megafan for your garage, shop, ect, just hit up an AC shop and see if they've got some old blowers laying around. building a solid mounting and some screens is recommended. =D

My bladeless fan can cut someone's head off...

bonus is he can bring you beers.

Yeah a chick can do that do, but that would take away from her servicing you in other ways.

Do it like a BOSS, 24/7 🙂
