Somehow I doubt it's going to be labeled: "This is to commemorate that a bunch of superstitious morons who believe that a Jewish itinerant preacher is the Jewish messiah (and that this somehow has some relevance to them as gentiles) saw the superficial similarity between this debris and the method of that preacher's execution and concluded that said dead preacher was sending them a message through said similarity."

But if I'm wrong, I retract my objection.

It's a private museum. I don't see what the problem is. Even as a Christian, the separation of church and state is an important principle to adhere to, but this isn't a public building, and therefor this law shouldn't apply.

And let's be fair here. If the steel beam was just a regular ole steel beam, it wouldn't be a fraction as interesting. It's also a little harder to fraudulently duplicate. It's not likely that a building crash is going to create steel beams in the shape of anarchy symbols, stars of David, or ying-yangs, but if it did, that would be really interesting.

I can only imagine they're trying to cause a backlash against atheists, for some reason. :\

You don't see the slippery slope here, next abortion clinics will be closed, women will be forced back into the kitchen, gays back in the closet, the bible will become required reading, pornography will become illegal, cats and dogs will live together, etc., etc.D::rolleyes:

How about putting this cross-shaped steel beam in a jar of urine and displaying it in a government building then those so called liberal hypocrites opposing it on 1st amendment grounds will defend it as art.:colbert:
Fuck, don't do that! We'll have to freakin' subsidize it!

It's really more about the pacification of a mentality in this country. Suppressing this WTC Cross hits these people hard.

AA is becoming douchbag zealots like most organized religious zealots. Or something to that effect.

Yeah, I realized this when I was 15, about 15 years ago. Even though I've been an atheist most of my life, I put AA on a lower level than even most mega-churches. A least mega-churches admit they are a religion, where AA is basically a religious organization that claims they aren't.

BTW: Not saying atheism is a religion, just AA and their followers.

Thanks to AA, we now see what "non stamp collecting" is.
