So there is no way of preventing anyone from reclaiming an account? I was considering buying new CD's starting a new account. Purchase account with chars, after changing all info, transferring chars to new account. I guess that is not safe either? How incredibly lame but I'm not mad at it. It's designed to discourage selling of accounts/chars by giving the buyer zero assurance.
I just wish they would accept that they can choose to retain players or add new ones via account/character sales. I can't believe people looking to buy an account are willing or able to level and build that type of character otherwise. Most people I have seen are like myself, they quit rather then face the long grind again. People argue "level a new char." Well lets do the math, (limited time now, maybe 6-10 hours a week max) I can spend the next 2+ months lvling a new character or playing with my friend who are level'd already. I've been through the level grind at least 8 times on different servers and factions. Again, its like my car analogy. Some people want to build, some people just want to drive. Blizzard has made it more obvious then ever that the game is heavily based on end game content. It's not surprising to see this huge tertiary market of "illegal" services to help speed up that grind. I have no desire to use a cheat program but I also have no desire to spend 4 months releveling and regearing, everything I have done 4-6 times before...
