What you did Corn, was to equate 'not surprised' with the fact that the author was a partison (Democrat activist). This has the relevance of saying I'm not surprised the sky is blue, unless, of course, the underlying implication is an assumed automatic prejoritive as in, from a fool expect foolishness. You should be able to see that reflected in the fact that I'm not surprised by the Bush plan because it's from Bush, unless you think I'm actually on to something. It's a wise fox who knows his own scent.
