<< if youre considering modding it, than the WRX is a no brainer choice.. a modded WRX vs a modded Altima.... duhhhh >>

Well, I recall someone made a supercharger kit for the maxima, so it shouldn't be that hard to put it on an altima.

<<

<< WRX. No question. It's a rally proven car and looks damn cool. >>

Dirt != pavement

In everyday situations, the Altima is the much more practical vehicle. Unless you're drive to work includes a race track and a dirt course along the way the WRX holds no fundamental advantage over the Altima...
>>

Very true about the dirt and pavement thing...but I like rally cars. I drove a Impreza RS 2.5 and a Integra Type-R and I like the RS better. Tends to drift better. 🙂

Perhaps not but I like modifying cars and there are more kits and mods for the WRX than an Altima.

However, in any case, I would not get either of them if I had the chance to get an RSX Type-R or a Audi S4.

but the altima is more of a family sedan.. the wrx already has everything else to go a long with it.. a nice suspencion, awd, turbo, etc. you only have to do minor things. if you want to fix up an altima.... you have other things to worry about bud.

what does the RSX Type-R have over the WRX?

LOOKS

Although I love how the WRX looks, it's no contest for me when it comes to the Type-R and the WRX. Also...the Type-R RSX comes with bucket seats and a MOMO steering wheel.

...and having driven the B18C powered Integra Type-R...I wanna see how the K20A powered RSX Type-R handles.

the Type-R does not even compare...

looks.... ill give ya that.. to an extent..handling goes to wrx no matter what you say.. 😀

other than that... id rather have the subbie cuz its unique, not everyone has one, ive only seen a couple here in the los angeles valley area

I didn't say handling. I said "I wanna see how the K20A powered RSX Type-R handles."

Obviously, being a rally car, the WRX has better handling. I think it's the slightly more compact design and weight balance. However, I always believe it's the driver...not the car...that determines how the car REALLY handles.

Mmmm....it very much has a lot to do with the Mechanical side of it also.

adter watching that WRC uninitiated video.... does anybody ahve to think twice before putting down WRX as #1?

Well, if you give me the choice of rally cars, I'll take a Lancer Evo VII (or VI or III...heh...I like the old school III), I'll take that instead of a WRX because of style.

read the november 01 issue of sport compact car.... RSX Type S vs Impreza WRX head on... both have their strengths and weaknesses... i especially liked the former Integra TypeR vs Mustang GT article.... very enlightening 1.8l vs 4.6l

I know. I addressed that issue earlier. Please read above.

I'm talking about WRC in the above comment.

Ronin.. i had a poll between the evo and the wrx.. the WRX spanked the evo 😛😛😛😛😛😛😛 haha

j/k

the wrx is no match for the evo.... a wrx-sti vs evo would be better comparison, both make near 300 horses

I saw a review of the WRX on Speedvision a while back. While they said the AWD and speed were fun to play with, they said the quality of the vehicle was utter crap. Cheap paint, poorly fitting panels, cheesy interior.

I doubt many of the people who oooo and ahhh over the WRX would ever take a car off road.

I'll take the Altima.

Your opinion. 🙂 Not mine. 😛

As for reviews...I trust nothing but Import Tuner and Top Gear.

the WRX in WRC looks superb. 🙂

anyway, I'll get a ford focus (the one that stalled in the video 😀) 😛

and if my car stalls, I'll just kick it like what the guy did in the video. 😀

WRX the whole way d00d!

awd rocks
and i like how the wrx looks too (to each his own or something!)

im gonna be getting a subaru outback sport soon, i wish i could swing the wrx though!

Ronin,

WRX comes with bucket seats and momo steering wheel also....and I have to say that the steering wheel looks really good especially compared to the altima's wheel.
