"Write Protect" error on Olympus digital camera... how to fix?

IIRC Olympus cameras write header info on the cards, and if you format them on a card reader outside the camera you can get errors. Could that be the problem?

Will it let you format the card in the camera?

I have to format my sd cards on my minolta cam or I will get an error. This sounds like the answer to me.

Bingo. I formatted the card in the camera, and the error message is gone. Camera works again, ATOT = teh best. *much appreciation*
