Dear Summer,

Switch your major now and start thinking about your future. You better pick up your grades or you won't make it to grad school. You're in for an uphill battle. Life is hard and your looks will fade, so you better work on your personality before it gets too hard to change. Call up your buddies and go out more. Go party and meet girls. Because if you don't build the experience with dating and girls now, you will lose some of the best opportunities that will appear in the future and lose it all.

Dear Me,

Beginning around Summer of 2006, leverage all the money you can into shorting the stock market starting with real estate followed by financials.

Sincerely,

I'm rich bitch!

Dear Me five years ago,

Go. Back. To. School. NOW. Don't put it off. Now is the time. If you wait like I (you) did, you will find that all of our friends have graduated and moved far far away. You will still be working a job that, while fine now, will go south pretty fast. I don't care how afraid you are (as if there is anything to be afraid of in the first place.) Just go.

She WILL stab you in the back, get out while you have your dignity.

Exercise more, maintain a proper diet. I know you're an in-shape 20 year old, but your metabolism will slow down fast, and it sucks gasping for breath going up the stairs.

Dear Me,
Don't apply to that shitty state school, apply to the IT program at RIT and wait for them form the security major. Learn VBScript and BASH ASAP. Dump the dumb broad you are dating before going to RIT and quit your whining when you break up. Find someone worth it because she certainly isnt and won't think you are either. Don't go home for as long as you can. Get into racquetball, its a lot of fun if you can find people to play with. Find more people to do stuff with an enjoy the hockey games, it'll be a lot more fun that way! Invest in Apple in 2006 with as much as you can spare, sell in early 2008. Use protection, don't do drugs if you want to work for any place spiffy for Co-ops. Have fun.

Dear me,

When you go to your roommate's wedding in September '06, avoid at all costs the fight with your girlfriend that you will get into if things run their course. Do not, DO NOT allow her to talk you into leaving her in the hotel room while you go to the wedding/reception alone, without her. omfg just don't. You love her, fucking act like it, don't be a douche. Lots of really amazing wonderful memories will likely be lost if you do this.

Also, don't buy that V8 Mountaineer in August '05. Gas goes up like $3.50

Dear Me:

Start learning guitar now (you'll start in another year anyway) and PRACTICE. This will make you feel good about yourself and get you chicks. Also, stop playing video games all day. Learn how to throw a frisbee and a football correctly; this is more important than you think.

Also: You're not going to find many decent chicks at the high school. Hang out with Jeff more - he has connects in Natick.

Also, urge mom to get those braces on right away. It sucks having them senior year. Your acne will also clear up by senior year, and you will be just as big as Hunter - so hit the weight room. Oh, and start dating - you have much to learn.

Yours truly,

Me/you from 5 years later.

Dear me,

Your only hope was for this to reach you 2 years ago. At this point, you're screwed.

Sincerely (and again, sorry it's 2 years late),

Me

Dear Me,

Work out, you will lose the weight so do it!, go to every party you can cause thats the point of high school, try in math, you can do it. In university do not try stats, god dammit don't do it! Don't get alcohol poising in October, it sucked balls, also you will gag whenever you drink whiskey in the future. Sleep with the October/november girl, and the March girl too, just do it. Get a good job because Sportchek sucks balls and you will be living on a few dollars for 2 weeks a month. Don't try to date that whore, it ruins fucking everything, and instead ask out your gf a month before she tracks you down, its worth it. The Giants will beat the Pats, put all your money on it dammit!, also never back into your moms car, its really low so always double check the mirrors. And last MOVE THE FUCK OUT of your parents house!!!! get a job, your gonna hate living there, so just do it...don't wait till May...do it NOW!

Yours Truly,
Future Me

Hey sexy,

You still have a lot to learn, but you will grow up quickly over the next year or so. My biggest piece of advice would be to stay off the back roads after snow storms. Also, you'll find real love in unexpected places. The one you have a crush on now is a psycho bitch. Keep working out but take care of your knees. See George Carlin live before it's too late. Don't take Calc II when you get to college, it will take years for your GPA to recover. Also, don't bother with AP tests as they won't wind up helping you anyway. Learn as much from your good teachers as possible, not even so much about what's in the book but how they treat others and how their philosophies on life.

I don't remember if this has happened yet, but if a lady at work asks you what days you work, lie. Your boss' stuff gets stolen and it might just so happen that the lady who is curious about your schedule is a thief who doesn't want you to be around to chase her down.

If the power goes out at your volunteer job and your boss isn't there, leave. You're just a kid and it's not your responsibility to babysit those brats. Again, the event I am referring to may have already happened, I can't remember.

You're a lucky guy because 2004-2009 are the best years of our life so far. Have a good time.

You,
Me

Dear me,

Do not sleep with Alison, its not worth it she is psychotic. Absolutely do not sleep with Claire, hunt will find out. Do not take the next job offer you get, newspapers will die. On new years 2008 do not attempt to drink a liter of vodka with Kevin, you both with get sick and you wont get to sleep with sherri, therefore you will have to pay jake because you lost a bet. Better yet stop betting on female conquests. Do not buy a hyundai. Do not hit on Ashley's mom. The winning MegaMillions numbers for the 4/20/09 drawing are 5-24-37-47-52-6, kill jeebus soon after receiving this letter or will only get half.

Thats all for now.

Dear Me,

Keep doing what you are doing, but maybe a little less procrastination (like you are going to listen anyway). Shit turns out pretty fucking sweet.

Love,

You.

Dear Me;

Where the fuck do I start? Do me a favor, write a letter to yourself that would reach you 5 years prior. In that letter, instruct your past self to do the same until it would be read by mom and dad. Have that mom and dad write one letter to themselves 5 years prior, advising dad to get a vasectomy and mom to get her tubes tied.

Trust me... you won't have to worry about a damn thing in the future after that!

Love,
Me
