Wrist push ups?

What the hell? NO NO NO. Don't ever do these. This sort of wrist lock is utilized as a weakness in many martial arts because it is dangerous to the joint and therefore elicits a great deal of pain. You are in hyperflexion when putting your wrists in that position. Many people can't even do normal pushups because it damages/hurts the wrist. These are even worse for you. I do pushups on my fists with wrists straight to strengthen the wrists. Many strikers do the same.

😎I personally enjoy these kind of push ups(due to pain factor). Usually I do my push ups in jeet kun do class using my fingertips only feet off the ground.

The point appears to be to add difficulty in a way that returns little benefit, and could cause injury. I would recommend against it, personally.

There are far better ways to strengthen your forearms and wrists. This just looks like it has a high potential for injury with little to offer in return.

Definitely. Get your friend off these.

ouch.. try fist pushups, they should also strengthen your wrist but put less strain than even regular palm pushups (provided you have soft surface to do pushups on)

I just did a few. There was no discomfort but I felt retarded, for what that's worth. Because of where the weight is borne, there's no wrist-lock type pressure on the joint (any more so than the other way 'round), which means you're not strengthening your wrists much if at all. Do forearm curls, reverse forearm curls, and ordinary pushups.
