Wow, the Matrox Parhelia 512 is going to kick ass.

This is why I'm betting on ATi coming out with a good go-between card with R300. 90-95% as fast as NV30 in OGL, (maybe a lot slower in Glide if NV30 really does use 3Dfx technology), DX9 compliant, cheaper than Parhelia, great 2D/3D quality, proven hardware DVD support, multi-monitor support, and possibly hardware video encoding support.

I hope ATi learned a lesson with R200, so maybe their drivers for R300 will be good from the start.

triple head is cool, but I don't have 3 monitors and am not likely to buy two more anytime soon, so it isn't a feature that means much to me when I buy a card.

Might be. GF4 gets 200FPS in Q3, whereas Parhelia only gets 195FPS. Parhelia runs Unreal Tournament 2003 "surprisingly fast" (according to Mark Rein) using triplehead (that's three monitors), Doom 3 will propably be demonstrated in E3 usning Parhelia with three monitors.

Actually, I think that the Matrox E3 exhibit will be running UT 2003 in triple-head. I don't think they got Doom 3.
