And never ever put your sentry out in the open. Put it someplace where YOU can have your back to a wall, therefore the spy cant backstab kill you. And of course shoot everyone who comes near your sentry. Usually most spies are too dumb to change their disguise. And you can kill most before they even get to your sentry, or at minimum wound them badly enough that you can whack them with a wrench.
lol
It's usually hard to put your sentry anywhere but out in the open. I can count on one hand the number of times I was actually unable to manouver into a position to backstab the engineer after sapping the gun. One time on Dustbowl Stage 3, I kept humping the dudes gun trying to hop over to stab him just after sapping; guess it gave me away.

You just have to know where to place sentries, even on dustbowl. Suppose even your sentry is out in the open, at least you as the engineer can have your back to a wall so that it's not as easy to get back stabbed. I can count on 1 hand the number of times I've been back stabbed in the last 2 weeks on TF2 as an engie.

Also with sentries, you should set up a crossfire. So if a spy backstabs the other sentry will turn him into paste. I believe the sentries fire 360, so you just need line of sight.

I didn't like the original TF for HL1...
The original TF is for Quake and none other. TFC was indeed pretty sloppy to me too, but TF.. That's a different story.
Also, TF2 does indeed rock.

You guys still playing much? I've been doing SP gaming lately (Stalker, Crysis, Bioshock) but I plan on getting back to some TF2 soon. So add me up, TheVrolok.

I was playing a couple other games too, including STALKER and Bioshock, but I can't seem to put TF2 down now. Is there any better feeling than flanking the opposing team as a Heavy with a medic in tow and laying waste to all before you? I think not.
