I thought that people were just hyping/bragging about it. I played it and about 15 mins into the game, I thought to myself, "S**t, this game is awesome." This is the best MP game I've played since UT99 and Quake 3. :)

I didn't think that it would be that good since I didn't like the original TF for HL1. It just felt sloppy to me. But the quality of this installment blew me away. The graphics look like something out of a Pixar movie and the audio sounds awesome (I really like how the characters have different voices for when they call for a medic). Even though the game modes are the same, there's something about the game that makes it different, in a good way.

I guess the thing I like best about the game is that even though it's relatively simple, there's strategy involved as well. In the last game I played, we were sending messages to each other, discussing tactics as to how we're going to take a cap and what classes were needed where. :)

Overall, I really like this game, and I think it was worth the price of the Orange Box alone.

Indeed, it is like crack to me; I can't stop playing it!

We should setup an AT game because I'm pretty sure there are a lot of ATers playing it.

Agreed. TF2 truly is an awesome game. Some times frustrating, but that's probably a sign that it is good. What I like the most about it is that each classes are unique and they all have their own personalities, mostly recognized by their voices and taunts. And my favorite class is the Heavy Weapons Guy (Pyro is close behind, and I some times I play the Medic and Demoman).

Well I usually play as a medic and it can get a bit annoying to hear all the medic calls but once i hear the Heavy call I know where to go ;)

When I play as a Heavy and a Medic comes to heal me I always taunt him: "I FEEL AAAALIIIIVE !", or "I am very happy !" :)

Any AT TF2ers can feel free to add me. I play with PBJTime now and then, though I forget what his AT username is now.

I was able to add you. If you still need to add me, the name might be the same as my AT name, GundamSonicZeroX. I thought it was GSZX since that's the name that my games default to when I install a new game.

I've been playing TFC for as long as I can remember. Well, likely since early 2001.

I've only played TF2 for about 15 minutes, and I don't think I like it.

Lol, hah, sorry about that man. :D

My connection kept crapping out the other day when we were playing; very annoying. I think it had something to do with that paritcular server though, because once I restarted and tried a new server I was golden.

KT

PS: I'm hopping on in a few minutes for a little while if anyone wants to play!

It's weird. I just loaded Steam after not ever using it for over 6 months and I have some invite from someone.

How is that possible? I haven't played an online HL game in like 2+ years.

You have 1 friend invite Accept Decline xabanakfanatik

(well crap. I just tried to buy it on Steam and my CC rejected due to wrong address reported but it isn't wrong. I'm screwed out of this sale then since my bank
call center is closed for the holiday)

You'll get bored of the official maps quick. Try to join a server that runs "mod" maps; there's a remade Warpath that's pretty good. User maps add some variation and really make you appreciate "professionally" produced and balanced maps versus "user" ideas.
