I thought that people were just hyping/bragging about it. I played it and about 15 mins into the game, I thought to myself, "S**t, this game is awesome." This is the best MP game I've played since UT99 and Quake 3.
I didn't think that it would be that good since I didn't like the original TF for HL1. It just felt sloppy to me. But the quality of this installment blew me away. The graphics look like something out of a Pixar movie and the audio sounds awesome (I really like how the characters have different voices for when they call for a medic). Even though the game modes are the same, there's something about the game that makes it different, in a good way.
I guess the thing I like best about the game is that even though it's relatively simple, there's strategy involved as well. In the last game I played, we were sending messages to each other, discussing tactics as to how we're going to take a cap and what classes were needed where.
Overall, I really like this game, and I think it was worth the price of the Orange Box alone.
