Pardon my ignorance, but who the heck is Robert Palmer?

I see on CNN's headline that he was a singer, but I don't recognize the name.

I just heard as well. I really liked his voice. His older stuff was pretty good music. And even if critics didn't like it, I loved how his voice fit in on Power Station's first album.

For most people, it would be the song "Addicted to Love".

Simply irresistable and Addicted to love are songs anybody would know to hear them, even if you can't associate the name with the song :)

You make me feel old.

He was in the Power stations... then went solo, remember the video with him singing in front of those models? (Simply Irresistable)

Weird. I just started my 80's Hits CD as I clicked this link and "Simply Irresistable" is the first song on the disc.
